Cowboy

Start by attaching a brown and cream crackle DP to
a card base.  Now stamp a scenic stamp with VersMark
and heat emboss with fine line white.
The top card has a punched and layered border at the
bottom of the card.
The stamped cowboy image has been colored
with colored pencils, crinkled up into a ball,
flattened out and distressed.
The edges of the images on both cards have
been "burned" by first sponging the edge with
a light brown ink.  With this sponging
the ink extends fairly far into the piece.
Next sponge with a darker brown ink,
leaving some of the first inking exposed.
Now catch the very edges with black ink.

  1. What a wonderful card for a guy! My husband was raised on a ranch in Wyoming and loves all things Western! This is a good idea of how to create his next cowboy birthday card! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Love your work and really appreciate the western. This cowboy is really nice and now I'm off to my craftroom since you've inspired me to get out my western stamps. Thanks for sharing.
