Rejoice!

Such a great scripture - Psalm 97:12 - a wonderful reminder of how we should live every day rejoicing in the LORD.

The beginning of this card is a white card base that has the edges sponged first with Russet ink and then a narrower border of sponging that is Coffee. Both inks are from the Ranger Archival line.

The phrase has been die cut with a Spellbinder's Label. The edges have been sponged with Russet and Coffee. It has been layered over rust and dark brown. The edges of the two lower layers have the corners rounded.

The ribbon on the left begins with a fallish paper from K & Company that is layer on dark brown. The lacy border in rust is from an EK Success Martha Stewart border punch.

The leaves are from various punches from various glitter papers.

Today's Card

Not much explanation today.
I had cataract surgery early this morning
and doing this one eyed is a little difficult.

There is a lot of details of how I do this type
of card in previous posts.

The Path of Life

Very simple and basic designs.
The papers all came from the same unknown stack.
The flowers were created by using a stipple brush
and dark blue Lumiere's paint to cover a
scrap of blue card stock.
After it was totally dry it was
punched with a flower shape punch
from The Punch Bunch.
It was then shaped from the back with a rounded tool
on a mouse pad, turned over, pressed in the center with
the tool and precious jewel added.
OK, just cheap bling-bling, but it looks great.
Each flower has two layers.

The dark brown branches are also from a punch.
They were added whole or in pieces, whatever
it took to make it look right.

The scripture has been created in
Paint Shop Pro X by me.
They have been cut out with
Spellbinders Labels.

I Am With You Is 41:10

First step - White card stock embossed in
a Sizzix embossing folder.
Next in line, DCWV Citrus stack and Citrus
card stock stack. With DCWV card stock
punch-around-the-page (EK Success Martha Stewart)
and attach the matching glitter paper.
On this one I rounded the corner
because the corner was rounded with
the punching as well.

The scripture is computer generated in PSP.
It has been cut out with a Spellbinders Label.
I did not want as wide a border as the next size
up Label would provide, so on DCWV Citrus
card stock stack paper I drew around the same
Label that was used to cut out the scripture
and hand cut with a scissors.

The final cut was a bit of the corner punch
on the upper right had corner.

There Is A Season

There is a season for everything and it is in
God's good time, not ours.

The textured background for this card was
done with a piece of white text weight paper
that was folded and put through a corrugator.
After it was attached to the card base,
the edges were sponged.

The phrase is computer generated, cut out
with a Spellbinders oval.
The K & Company scrapbook paper under the
scripture was also cut with a Spellbinders Label die.
The edges of both have been sponged.

After attaching the scripture layers to the card front,
silk leaves and "jewels" were added.

Leaves Everywhere

A beautiful scrapbook paper attached to the
entire front of the card base will
be the beginning of this design.
The "friends" stamp is from Art Impressions
and is stamped in black.
An Art Impressions leaf border has been
stamped in a pale green.
Then die cut it all with a Spellbinders label
and sponge dark green around the edges.
The dark green die cut flourish leaves are
an extended cut border from Sizzix.
The finishing touch - a dragonfly brad.

Plaid Thanks

The background tree image was stamped with Soot Black Distressed Ink and rubbed before it could dry. This gives it the misty, foggy look.

That is all I am up to today, have a very bad case of the flu and feel a long hot shower and bed calling me.
